Avens, Water (geum revale)

Water Avens has interesting dark red to pink flowers between May and August, that are upright at first then begin to hang down when fully opened, and can be seen in wetland areas such as damp meadows, marshes and around streams.

The fruit of Water Avens are a furry haired 'bur' that are produced after the flowers.
