The arcade consisted of a shopping centre, billiard hall and the Prince's Theatre. The arcade is probably better know as 'Johnny's' after Mr. Johnny Holland who succeeded Mr. Greenhalgh as the manager from shortly before the first world war until his death sometime in the 1920s. Johnny was always impeccably well dressed and was also remembered for throwing a live duck into the audience to liven up a show. After his death his wife ran the business but it was still referred to as Johnny's by most folk until it was demolished in 1962.
